Client Description: Traditional Tax/Accounting Firm/Independent ($8mm+ annual collections)
Classification: Full time/W2
Title: CPA - Senior Tax Manager
Compensation: $115,000 – $135,000 + base DOE
Position Description: IDEAL CANDIDATE: Tax Manager, driven, ambitious, team oriented individual. * We have (2) openings at the Tax Manager level, one is reviewing individual returns and trusts and one is reviewing business returns/tax planning and research.
Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a CPA with 6-10+ years of income tax compliance and planning. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes and skills:
Thorough understanding of tax preparation applications
Complete year end accounting adjustments to financial statements that you determine are necessary to prepare accurate tax returns.
Comfortable in dealing with clients at all levels.
Work with clients to develop customized tax strategies and business plans.
Analyze and make recommendations on business transactions /structures to maximize tax benefits.
High level reviewer, individual and trust returns, and do tax research and planning as needed
High level reviewer of business returns, tax planning and research
Responsibilities will include tax return preparation and reviews, tax research, tax notice resolution, client service.
Review work of other tax preparers
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Outgoing personality, driven to deliver a high level of customer service
Ability to work closely within a team environment
Produce precise, consistent and error-free work product in a timely manner
Comfortable working at a faster than average pace without sacrificing accuracy or quality of work
Work well within established systems, standards and procedures
Ability to analyze and problem solve difficult issues. Capable of researching complex tax matters.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Degree in accounting - Current/Active CPA Required
Requires minimum of 6-10+ years of recent tax experience in a public accounting firm.
