Client/Employer Description: Professional service firm providing accounting, audit, tax, and advisory

services to businesses, not-for-profit organizations and individual clients. One location, 12 partners and

more than 90 staff.


Classification: Exempt/Full Time


Title: Tax Manager


Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 + base DOE


Benefits: Health insurance, signing bonus, retirement savings plan


Position Description: The Tax Manager will work closely with Senior Managers, Principals and Partners, as well as staff and clients, and will be responsible for planning, supervising, reviewing and completing client engagements.


Key Responsibilities Include: Planning and managing tax compliance and consulting engagements and related projects, including reviewing workpapers and tax returns.


Supervise, develop and motivate engagement staff and supervisors by providing mentorship, leadership and career guidance


Conduct research, continuously enhance technical professional skills and develop expertise within the firm.                                                  

Identify and recommend new business opportunities for the firm.


Maintaining and developing strong client relationships on various compliance and tax consulting engagements.


Managing engagement workflow, engagement team resources, and engagement billing and collections.


Prepare staff performance evaluations and review with staff members.


Develop a responsible and trained staff by providing assisting in recruiting, developing professional development programs and updating processes/procedures.


Required Knowledge,

Experience and Skills: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Five years’ experience in public accounting – taxation.

CPA license is required. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Integrity, Intellectual Strength & Agility, Energy, Passion, Curiosity, Humility.
