Title: M&A Research Analyst I
Base Compensation: $45,000 - $65,000 DOE
Bonus: 0-10% of base/eligible after one year of service
Position Description: The M&A Analyst will assist Managing Member with all aspects of the M&A process, including target identification, research and analysis, and coordinating internal and external participants. This position will also assist in due diligence, purchase agreement negotiation, and construction of financial models and as well as both internal and external presentations.
Responsibilities: Procure, source, identify, research, prioritize, and manage pipeline of potential M&A targets, including monitoring of industry news and relevant transactions
Support of senior leadership, internal or external with due diligence, including ownership of data as well as coordinating due diligence requests between the Seller and Client leadership
Financial modeling and business case development
Construction of concise, informative target presentations to both internal and external stakeholders
Plan and handoff preliminary integration strategy and related activities
Required Experience: 2-5 years of M&A Analyst experience in banking, public accounting, or related financial professional services
Expert Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills, as well as strong command of the full Microsoft Office Suite
Basic accounting and understanding of financials
Experience with closing transactions or has been in a senior supporting role of management accountable for oversite of the entire transaction process
Public Accounting industry experience preferred, although position only requires a strong interest in the financial services industry
Clear, quick, and concise communication, both verbal and written
